Algebra I & II

Algebra is the building block for higher level mathematics, and one missed concept early on (like negative exponents or factoring) can make everything after it feel impossible. Let's start at the foundation, rebuild it, and connect it to what you're covering in class right now.

Geometry

Geometry is a different way of thinking compared to algebra. It's more visual, and more about logic and proof. We work through problems by actually drawing them out, focus on seeing proofs as a sequence of reasonable steps instead of an exercise in memorization.

Precalculus & Trigonometry

Trigonometry throws a lot at you at once — sine, cosine, tangent, the unit circle, and triangles with special names. It's a real shift in how you think about angles and relationships, and that's usually where students get stuck. We slow down on what these concepts actually mean, so precalculus and trig make sense in their own right.

SAT / ACT math prep

SAT and ACT math is about numbers and equations, but it's also about strategy. Pacing, recognizing question patterns, and knowing which problems to skip and come back to are all vital strategies to understand. We work through real practice sections and review not just what you missed, but why, and how to catch it faster next time.

Calculus I, II & III

Limits, derivatives, and integrals can be tricky and don't resemble many mathematical concepts you've learned prior. I care less about memorizing steps and more about understanding what a derivative or an integral is actually describing. This understanding will make everything easier.

Probability and Statistics

Probability and stats can be especially challenging because they often go against your intuition. But understanding why a probability is less than anticipated, or why a test statistic is not statistically significant can provide deep insight into the world around us.
